The Benefits

While I’ve talked a little bit about the negatives, I don’t wanna be a downer and trash talk the place you are planning on moving too, since I too plan on going back, simply because I love it so much. Here are some of the 5 reasons to go in the first place.

  1. La Cultura: There isn’t anything like latin American culture and the community it forms with individuals. People down there are the friendliest souls I have ever, and the friendships you form down there can last a lifetime. The Latin Culture is vibrant, loud, funny, and accepting making it one of the best places to move if you’re looking for community, just make sure your Spanish is on point because they don’t try to slow down for you.

2. La Comida
Best food on the planet is South of the US Border.  If you don’t believe me, go try it               out yourself. I highly recommend Argentine Asado, Any food in Guatemala or                           Mexico, and Peruvian Ceviche.

3. Futbol
If you’re not a soccer fan before you get there, by the time you leave you will have a team. P.S. don’t try to explain American Football to them.

4. Alternative Recreational Activities
In some towns, there isn’t always much to do, so people make their own fun. This can come in the form of going out at night to play impromptu soccer matches, hunting for pumas and rabbits with sawn-off shotguns, and trying to race each other on motorcycles. All good things.
5. Soap Operas
Just kidding these aren’t that great.
